Self-Care is not the solution for Burn-Out

There is no doubt that self-care is an important piece in the puzzle of our individual wellbeing and resilience, but is it the antidote to burnout at work?

According to Dr. Justin Henderson, “three decades of research have demonstrated that work environments, not individual workers, have the greatest impact on the possibility of burnout and worker turnover.”

By shifting our focus to the cultural and systemic levers within organisations, we have an opportunity to create more compassion-centred and resilient workplaces that enhance wellbeing and proactively reduce the risk of burnout in their people.
